An Hour of Pictures

Supper time! Enjoying eating mogol-lie, a deep fried, flat pastry with egg and vegetables inside, and a fresh salad of spinach, onions, tomatoes, peanuts, and cheese.

Our living room. We live in a simple, yet nice, home that Melissa has been making into a very pleasant place to live. We have our bedroom, an office/spare room, kitchen, and this living room. We also have a spacious hallway where we can dry our clothes during the rainy season.

Next to our house. Looking south.

More harvesting

Field not far from where we live.

Stacking rice stalks for drying. After the rice stalks have dried out then the rice is taken off the stalks by beating it on a board. Rice is similar in most ways to wheat in that it comes in a kernal and then is husked before using.

Small tractor carrying bags of rice. There are many such tractors that bring rice to the towns to be brought to the cities by larger trucks. Right now it is at the end of the current rice harvest. There are three crops of rice each year.
