Painting

We recently had two rooms and our kitchen painted in our house. They put a coat of water sealer followed by two coats of wall putty to make the wall smoother followed by two coats of Acrylic Plastic Emulsion paint. These are some of the same painters who painted the hospital here. We also had a few wall tiles put up behind the stove and sink. Now the kitchen and rooms look very crisp and clean.

15kgs of Mangos

Mango season is short here but Josh went a little overboard when he purchased 15kgs of Mangos. We all enjoyed eating them and giving some of them away.

Out for another walk

We enjoy taking some short walks around the beautiful area here in the later afternoons when it is cooler.

A fun bike ride

A couple of weeks ago, Josh and three friends biked to a town that is about 20 miles away. That is our main road here which often has large trucks and buses on it. They were hoping to get a train back but that particular train wouldn't let them take their bikes on it so they ended up trying to bike back. On the way back one of the guys flagged a partially empty truck down (that truck normally carries rice) and we were able to put our bikes in that truck and get a lift back to our place. It was great fun!

Tiles, Tiles, Tiles

If you can believe it, one of my jobs has been to help pick out floor tiles for the four new rooms at the guest house. I took pictures of the tiles so that my better half could help me as I am not great at color coordination.

Train Rides

We take about one train trip every two months. Thankfully, there is now an AC train that runs up to where we live.
